Airport Operation Specialist

About the Role

Civil Technology, Inc. (CTI) is seeking a highly capable ORAT Technician to support our Aviation business unit. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that new airport facilities, systems, and operational environments transition seamlessly from construction into safe, efficient day-one operations.

The ORAT Technician will contribute to the full ORAT lifecycle—from early operational planning through readiness, trials, activation, and post-opening stabilization. A major focus of the role will be developing standardized ORAT templates and workflows, building structured processes within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) , and coordinating closely with DEN’s Asset Management team to ensure accurate, repeatable, and well-documented operational readiness practices.

This is a high-visibility role supporting complex capital improvement projects across a rapidly evolving airport environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process & Template Development

• Develop standardized ORAT templates, checklists, trackers, and documentation needed across multiple project types.
• Build, refine, and maintain ORAT workflows and process maps aligned with DEN’s ORAT governance framework.
• Collaborate with Asset Management to ensure alignment between ORAT documentation and facility handover requirements.

Digital Systems & Information Management

• Develop, standardize, and maintain ORAT processes within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) .
• Organize and manage ORAT data, records, and structured reporting tools.
• Support digital integration between ORAT, asset information systems, and project delivery platforms.

Operational Readiness Support

• Assist in shaping operational strategies, readiness requirements, and transition plans.
• Participate in stakeholder workshops, simulations, and readiness meetings.
• Conduct site visits and operational walkthroughs to track facility readiness progress.
• Help build and deliver training materials, readiness content, and operational familiarization resources.

Activation, Trials & Transition

• Assist in developing trial scenarios—from functional testing to advanced multi-stakeholder simulations.
• Support execution of ORAT trials to validate systems integration, operational procedures, and stakeholder readiness.
• Help coordinate handover requirements and readiness milestones between construction teams and DEN operations.
• Provide support during transition and early operational phases to help maintain business continuity and smooth opening day operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in airport operations, aviation logistics, facility operations, asset management, or construction technology systems.
• Strong documentation, organization, and process-development skills.
• Ability to work with technical software platforms; ACC experience strongly preferred .
• Experience collaborating with airport maintenance, operations teams, engineering groups, or project managers.
• Past experience working with ORAT methodologies, operational planning, readiness activities, and airport environments (preferred).
• Experience supporting training, simulations, or operational exercises is beneficial.
• PMP, CAPM, or related project coordination experience is a plus but not required.
