Job Description:

Seeking a Database Analyst to join our MAINES Database team. This new Database Analyst role provides critically needed support to the Database team, working as part of the Managed Application, Infrastructure, Networking, Enterprise, and Security Services (MAINES) contract. The Analyst works in unison with several matrixed teams across client and contractor organizations. The primary function for this Database Analyst will be Oracle DBA support.

  • Configure and deploy Oracle databases, experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB is a plus.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases seamlessly with existing applications.
  • Implement required security protocols.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for enforcing security compliance and monitoring database activities.
  • Perform routine administration tasks including backups, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Optimize query performance and indexing strategies to enhance data retrieval efficiency.
  • Manage both RDS and on-premises instances, ensuring synchronization and data consistency across environments.
  • Implement monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch for RDS, Oracle Enterprise Manager, MySQL Enterprise Monitor, MongoDB Atlas) to track database performance, reliability, and security compliance.

The Database Analyst Principal must have:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience

The likely salary range for this position is $123,250 - $166,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
