Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to our diverse client base, helping individuals navigate their unique challenges and supporting them on their journey towards mental well-being. The ideal candidate will have evidence of commitment to the empowerment of excellence and uplifting black communities and other historically marginalized communities. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about providing quality care, self-motivated, teachable and have a growth mindset. 

This is a part time position with the possibility of becoming full-time . Hybrid In person ( Naperville)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and cultural backgrounds of our clients.
• Provide individual and group counseling services, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with the latest best practices in mental health counseling.
• Uphold the ethical standards and guidelines of the mental health profession.
• Creating a safe, inclusive environment that fosters trust, understanding, and healing.
• Developing and implementing culturally relevant interventions and personalized treatment plans.
• Must be available at least 2 weekend evenings and/or weekends. 
• Must maintain a caseload of minimum 25 clients for full time status and 15+ clients a week for part time status. 

Requirements :

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Must possess Illinois License ( LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD) Provisionally licensed applicants are encouraged to apply as well (LPC, LSW, AMFT) 
• Must reside in Illinois 
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to client confidentiality and ethical practice.
• Interest and commitment to work with BIPOC clients (Black and Indigenous People of Color)
• Computer Skill Proficiency: ability to navigate multiple software systems such as: google suite, excel, electronic health records.
• Willingness to collaborate and integrate with a team. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized trauma informed training ( IFS, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Trainspotting, TF-CBT)
