Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist

Are you a logistics professional with a strong background in U.S. export regulations? We’re looking for a mid-level Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to manage shipping operations, trade compliance, and packaging for defense and government-regulated programs. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and wants their work to directly support programs that matter.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee domestic and international shipments, including ITAR/EAR-controlled exports.
• Prepare and verify all shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to keep shipments moving smoothly.
• Package and label products to meet regulatory, contractual, and military standards.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade laws (ITAR, EAR, AES, HTS, ECCN, Incoterms).
• Track shipments, monitor carrier performance, and manage freight costs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet government contract and delivery milestones.
• Support audits, investigations, and trade compliance initiatives.
• Maintain accurate shipping and compliance records.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years' experience executing logistics / shipping operations in a defense or government-regulated environment.
• Supervisory or team lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and related regulations.
• Proficiency with ERP/logistics systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MIL-STD packaging and labeling for defense shipments.
• Familiarity with DDTC/BIS licensing processes and DD250 requirements.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, HTS classification, and customs procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
