About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional  long-term substitute guitar instructor   to teach part-time for our Lake Forest, CA school Glee Music Academy. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON at our studio!

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. We are currently looking for a substitute teacher to take over a part-time schedule from an existing teacher on Tuesdays 12:45pm - 7:30pm and Wednesdays 3:15pm - 7:30pm. This specific schedule would be taken over from December 2025 - February 2026, with the option for additional hours and days as available. Experience working with younger students and neurodivergent students and the ability to teach other instruments (especially voice) is preferred.  The option to teach at our sister school The Inside Voice in Orange County is available to qualified vocal teachers (schedule is Sundays 1:00pm - 5:30pm and Mondays 2:00pm - 8:00pm).

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $32-$36/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
