Key Responsibilities:

• Write, submit, and coordinate press releases and event announcements with local and national media
• Develop compelling blog content and assist with website content research and creation
• Manage social media accounts, including writing, scheduling, and monitoring posts
• Oversee multiple marketing and PR projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistent branding and messaging
• Stay current on marketing trends and media opportunities to enhance outreach efforts
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and efficiency
• Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement
• Assist with wordpress content updates for blog posting and events
• Assist with marketing experiences and events
• Coordinating deliveries, and pickups on occasion 
• Accompanying guest to news interviews and coordinating with media contacts
• Developing media recap reports

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in marketing, public relations, or related fields(1-2 years+)
• Enjoys authentic creative writing
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
• Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse and dynamic creative team
• Customer service experience in other industries
• Capable under pressure, adaptable
• Takes direction well
• Previous experience with marketing coordination, public relations and social media
• Comfortable with communicating with individuals via phone, email and text
• A good eye for design and a love for advertising

Education and Experience:

• Degree in marketing or a related field
• 1-2 year minimum experience
• Customer service experience
• Experience with B2C social media marketing or content development
• Experience using social media management tools (Loomly, Sprout, Meta)
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent digital media editing tools a plus
• Experience with Canva
• Meltwater experience (bonus)
• Basic understanding of WordPress
• Basic understanding of email marketing software (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Hubspot, Emma)
• Basic understanding of CANVA
• Photography and Video for social media is a plus
