Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.

About the Role
We're seeking an exceptional Product Designer to shape the future of DeFi through innovative user experiences. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing intuitive and trustworthy product interfaces that make complex financial instruments accessible to institutional and retail users alike. Working at the forefront of Web3 and DeFi, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product scope, invent new UX/UI patterns, and deliver pixel-perfect experiences that set new industry standards.
Target Outcomes
- Pioneering Product Experiences Design groundbreaking user interfaces and interactions for tokenized financial products that don't yet exist in the market, establishing new standards for DeFi user experience.
- Seamless User Journey Architecture Create intuitive end-to-end user flows that make complex financial operations feel simple and trustworthy, driving user adoption and engagement across our product ecosystem.
- Design System Excellence Build and maintain a comprehensive design system that ensures consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all product touchpoints while reflecting our premium brand positioning.
- Cross-Functional Product Innovation Partner closely with product, engineering, business development, marketing, and legal teams to transform complex business requirements into elegant user-centered solutions.
- Quality-Driven Design Culture Establish and maintain the highest design quality standards, ensuring every interface reflects our commitment to professionalism and trustworthiness in the financial services space.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Design Ownership Take full ownership of the design process from conceptualization through prototyping, testing, and post-launch optimization.
- Innovation in Uncharted Territory Pioneer new UX/UI patterns for novel DeFi products and tokenized assets, solving design challenges that have never been tackled before in the financial technology space.
- Design System Development Create and evolve a comprehensive design system that scales across multiple products while maintaining consistency and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration Work autonomously while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, facilitating healthy debates and synthesizing diverse perspectives into cohesive product solutions.
- Quality Assurance & Implementation Ensure pixel-perfect implementation by working closely with engineering teams during development and conducting meticulous QA reviews.
- User Research & Validation Conduct user research to validate design decisions and iterate on solutions based on user feedback and behavioral data.
Requirements
- Experience Minimum of 5-7 years in product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design processes, preferably with experience in fintech, Web3, or DeFi products.
- Web3 & DeFi Expertise Demonstrated passion for and experience with Web3 technologies and decentralized finance, with understanding of blockchain mechanics, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols.
- Design Tool Mastery Expert proficiency in Figma, along with prototyping tools like Framer, Principle, or After Effects for creating interactive demonstrations.
- Autonomous Problem Solving Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, defining problems and solutions with minimal guidance while maintaining high-quality output.
- Systems Thinking Experience building and maintaining design systems, with strong attention to detail and ability to think both strategically and tactically.
- Collaborative Leadership Excellent communication and facilitation skills with experience working across diverse teams and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Quality Standards Demonstrated commitment to pixel-perfect execution with a meticulous eye for detail and experience in design QA processes.
Nice to Haves
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of frontend development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with engineering teams.
- Financial Services Background: Previous experience designing for financial services, trading platforms, or investment management tools.
- User Research Skills: Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and analyzing user behavior data.
- Workshop Facilitation: Experience leading design workshops, stakeholder alignment sessions, and collaborative ideation processes.
- Motion Design: Skills in creating micro-interactions and animation to enhance user experience and guide user behavior.
