Job Description

Job Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a Product Owner for one of our holiday décor clients. This individual will have a strong operations and supply chain background and will own and evolve critical Order Management (OMS), Warehouse Management (WMS), Inventory Management (IMS), and ERP platforms. This role plays a key part in ensuring operational systems scale effectively, support business growth, and enable efficient, accurate order fulfillment.

As a senior individual contributor, this individual will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and external vendors to translate complex operational workflows into clear product requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for OMS, WMS, IMS, and ERP-related capabilities.
  • Prioritize work based on operational impact, business value, technical complexity, and risk.
  • Define success metrics and ensure delivered solutions drive measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Operational Partnership

  • Act as the primary product partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, and Inventory teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end operational workflows, including order lifecycle management, inventory movement, fulfillment, and returns.
  • Translate operational needs and constraints into clear, actionable product requirements.

Delivery & Execution

  • Write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows to support engineering delivery.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to refine scope, manage dependencies, and deliver solutions on time and at quality.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure consistent execution.

Systems & Integrations

  • Drive enhancements and integrations across OMS, WMS, IMS, and ERP platforms.
  • Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors on system configuration, customization, upgrades, and implementations.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and support long-term scalability.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Communicate product direction, priorities, tradeoffs, and timelines to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Align cross-functional partners and manage expectations through change and system evolution.

Must Haves:

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role supporting operational or enterprise systems.
  • Direct experience working with OMS, WMS, IMS, and/or ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or similar).
  • Prior hands-on experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Logistics, or Inventory Management strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to own complex system backlogs and deliver end-to-end product capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, data flows, and operational dependencies.
  • Ability to partner effectively with Engineering teams without needing to code.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a bias toward action.
  • Clear, concise communicator able to bridge operational and technical perspectives.
  • Comfortable working independently while influencing cross-functional teams.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, system migrations, or major platform upgrades.
  • Experience in omnichannel, e-commerce, or multi-warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a product-led organization.

Compensation:

$60/hr to $70/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
